Meet Our Team

Steve Kirchen

Owner/Founder

A graduate of the University of Akron with a BA in Finance, Steve began his insurance career as a Commercial Underwriter with Ohio Casualty. In 2001, he became a Commercial Producer with a local agency and had great success developing a large commercial book of business.

In 2011, Steve decided to strike out on his own and opened BTC Insurance Services, LLC, going from working “remotely” from his living room to employing a team of talented people by 2019. BTC Insurance continues aggressively expanding its capacity to help clients and improve its product offerings.

Steve has a wonderful wife and three great kids. All of the kids play club soccer, so a lot of the couple’s time is dedicated to sports. When time allows, they love to travel, hike, ski, and just have fun whenever possible.

Kish North

Commercial Insurance Producer

Kish grew up in Canada, where he worked on a hog farm during his youth, enjoying farming before migrating to Orange County, California, 25 years ago. While in California, he was able to work for some great companies in the loan origination and distressed-asset space. Working with several large hedge funds as well as managing his own funds has given Kish a great foundation and understanding of the complexities and risks the business world carries.

Working as an independent agent provides Kish with the latitude to manage his workload as well as be there for his wife of 20 years and their six boys. The family enjoys snowmobiling in the winter and getting on the water in the summertime.

With BTC Insurance, Kish is able to work closely with those that he has worked with for the past 20 years in the finance world and has made new introductions to many individuals in the commercial/residential zone. With his experience in working for firms prone to higher risks, Kish is equipped to understand their needs and exposures.

Tyler Tuft

Commercial Insurance Producer

Tyler is a commercial producer at BTC Insurance and joined the team back in 2012. His expertise lies in identifying and analyzing the unique needs of businesses and providing tailored insurance solutions that mitigate risks and protect assets. Tyler possesses a keen eye for detail and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that clients receive the most comprehensive coverage at the most competitive rates. He is dedicated to staying abreast of industry trends and regulations, allowing him to provide his clients with the most up-to-date and relevant insurance advice.

Tyler married his wife, Saphina, in 2016 and has four amazing children. Outside of insurance, he enjoy coaching baseball, golfing, camping, being outdoors and spending quality time with his family.

Linda Sundquist

Account Manager

Linda began her insurance career 15 years ago as an Account Manager and has thrived in this role ever since. She is a Licensed Property and Casualty Agent and has her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation as well. Linda really enjoys working with clients and helping them with their day-to-day needs.

Yiele Estuesta

Account Manager

In 2022, Yiele joined the team, working closely with producers to ensure client requests are fulfilled. With five years of experience in customer service, Yiele has developed a comprehensive skill set that enables her to effectively carry out her job responsibilities with precision and proficiency.

Outside of work, Yiele likes to spend her time at home, keeping herself occupied by playing online games and exploring new music.

Daniel Mickunas

Office Manager

As a licensed P&C agent, Daniel has worked in the insurance industry for nine years in South Texas and Salt Lake City, Utah. After moving to Utah, Daniel has a solid and competitive working environment at BTC Insurance Services, LLC. Daniel aspires to help individuals in Salt Lake City in and out of work.
